The manufacturer of the 91-93 away shirt also issued a third shirt for the club during their time as kit supplier. It was essentially based on the style of the away outfit, although the main shirt colour and flame effect was now yellow with a blue and white trim. This kit did mark the clubs entry into the premiership in its inaugural 92-93 season, which saw club hero Alan Shearer depart for Blackburn Rovers. Iain Dowie, Terry Hurlock, Richard Hall and Perry Groves all featured in this shirt for the Saints.
